The first
step in most assignments is the initial evaluation provided FREE
OF CHARGE.
It consists of first
reviewing the assignment material (including photographs, diagrams, witness
statements, discovery documents, police reports, etc.) and then advising
the client verbally (or in writing if desired) of the preliminary findings
and technical merits of the assignment and whether a complete investigation
and analysis is warranted.
If a complete investigation
and analysis is warranted, we will then establish a budget with the client
and follow it. All engineering assignments and file contents are confidential
and the information is provided only to the client or those designated
by the client.
Clients are billed on
an hourly base plus associated expenses. An estimate of fees can be provided
after a description of the assignment and its scope is received. If a
budget was established, as mentioned earlier, we will closely follow it.
We provide our clients
with the highest calibre forensic engineering services, from initial case
review to the courtroom, while maintaining reasonable costs.
Discussion of cost and
scope of work is always welcome, both before and following the completion
of any engineering assignment.
Our engineering report
is typically available within 14 to 21 days from the time that all available
information (accident scene, vehicles, injuries, product information,
failure details, etc.) is in our possession. |
